In our business Vision we integrate economic, social and environmental performance to the management of impacts with our Stakeholders.
At Puerto Antioquia we prioritize the generation of Social Value as a Transversal Strategy, through which we build lasting and genuine links with the communities that perceive the direct impacts associated with the construction of an infrastructure project in their territory.
With this purpose, we have encouraged free, informed and adjusted participation to their proper ethnic particularities, cultural and socio-economic diversity that characterizes the Nueva Colonia and Río Grande inhabitants; as well as the COMANUCO and Puerto Girón Community Councils. Encouraging them to make decisions autonomously and find leverage in foreign trade and port services to improve quality of life, competitiveness, promote comprehensive development and, therefore, promote progress in the indicators of the Sustainable Development Objectives.
This Arrangement is an exercise in Social Innovation, based on a direct and transparent dialogue that has allowed us to get to know the territory, integrate ourselves as allies for regional purposes and articulate the will of the communities to appropriate and support an infrastructure project; with our business willingness to involve, support and encourage them to perceive the benefits that the construction and operation of Puerto Antioquia will generate, which translates into mutually beneficial agreements.
These Agreements, from our voluntary nature, complement the obligation framed by our Socio-Environmental Management System and Environmental License. They are oriented to:

Concordance: Arranged agreements Puerto Antioquia
Puerto Antioquia defined Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans focused on conserving the biodiversity of the influence area, compensating for water and forest use; based on the guidelines of the License and the IFC Standars.
Among these, we highlight the Monitoring of Artisanal Fishing that has been carried out during 2 years in the Gulf of Urabá, to identify current conditions, trends, opportunities, risks, and impacts, so that the project is prepared to manage what is pertinent.
From which, it has a Compensation Plan for Fishermen who prove to carry out their activity in the areas impacted by the project and who are affected.
